Now running twice each summer, our flagship Teaching Lexically course offers you the opportunity to take a fresh look at all areas of your teaching development, from principles of how language works to what and how you teach. It may completely revolutionize your classroom or it may just give you support and new ideas about the way you are teaching already. A stimulating, practical course based on a love of language and teaching and two weeks of lovely London in the summer! What more could you want from a teacher training course? Minimum language level of B2-C1 required.

After this course, you will:
● be clearer about your principles of learning and teaching
● understand a lexical view of language better
● be better able to analyse texts for language
● be better at asking language-focused questions
● be able to anticipate language and correct students better
● have new strategies for developing students’ skills
● be able to use students’ own knowledge to develop language and engage them in their learning

What our students say:
“I recently completed the Teaching Lexically course and want to express my deep gratitude to Hugh Dellar and Andrew Walkley. You are amazing tutors! Knowledgeable, enthusiastic and dedicated, a good example to follow. The whole course was well-structured, full of practical tasks and useful input. We had sessions on teaching all skills and systems with lexical approach. I found lots of interesting and handy tips which I could implement in my teaching style, I would say, in my teaching lexically style.”

“A couple of days ago I returned from London, where I took the course “Teaching Lexically” with Hugh Dellar and Andrew Walkley – the authors of really great coursebook Outcomes. It was really unforgettable experience for me – two weeks of useful and helpful information which I’m sure will help me to become a better teacher, amazing lecturers – Hugh and Andrew – who told us a lot of interesting things and always patiently answered all our endless questions, communication with colleagues and sharing our experience.”
